Welcome to the Ribonucleotide Reductase Database
The ribonucleotide reductase database (RNRdb) is a tool developed for RNR research that gives you the opportunity to retrieve RNR protein sequences from any organism that have been either experimentally characterised or predicted from genome sequence data.
The RNR database contains a compilation of all published 3D structures of different RNR proteins as well as a compilation of all mutant proteins constructed including links to the relevant publication(s).
RNRs by organism gives an overview of the entire database. Users can also search the database for occurrence of ribonucleotide reductases in taxonomic groups.
The BLAST server of the RNR database allows sequences to be BLASTed against our database that contains RNR sequence, genomic, and species data.
AboutRNRs is an introductory section which gives a short overview of the topic, the Glossary explains the terms used in the context of RNR and the short Bibliography lists recommended primary literature, including links to their abstracts and related databases. The bibliography is intended to give a deeper insight into the research field of RNRs.
In the interactive discussion forum (RNRdb Wiki), all researchers in the RNR field are welcome to make comments on the content or add results not yet on the RNRdb website.
Upcoming extensions of the RNRdb will include e.g. operon structure and nucleotide sequences.
